lol yeah pay US$400 a month for Nortons.

Mistype there or are you simply insane that you would consider it?

P.S.
Wouldn’t take much of an effort to make better help thread titles than one word titles like you always do.

    …still on a horse.
I think Windows defender is an adequate protection and light on resources for average informed consumers, i.e. someone who stays away from lures that result in downloading malware / getting phished / getting scammed, etc. However, if you have a higher risk profiles (need to do risky things, share the computer with people who do risky things, have crypto assets), every edge you have may count. Also, if you can afford it, peace of mind may also count.

People use all sorts of AV solutions, so it's hard to judge what's "best"; you have to figure it out. But if I were to pick to get the "extra" protections based on results from

(See Real-world protection test, ATP Test, and Performance test)

I would pick Bitdefender, ESET, or Kaspersky (if you are not afraid of the FSB).

For the average user, who is somewhat informed, cautious, careful and practices common sense, Windows Security, (Defender), is more than adequate.

For the user who may be intimidated by the plethora of scare tactics, with which we are bombarded on a daily basis, or, the careless user who practices questionable, unsafe PC/Internet habits..., then, perhaps it's prudent to seek a more robust system of protection.

Do your homework, though. Research your query painstakingly. Ask a professional whom you trust.

You can get Norton 360 Premium for 10 devices for 29$ per year.... Similar prices for Bitdefender etc.

Or use MS Defender for free.

Don't do it, it seems you have more than enough computer issues daily without installing Norton crap.
