I am generally fairly proficient, but sometimes I work too late at night, and make mistakes.
I was creating new user accounts to try to get Password Protected File Sharing working on my desktop, and two laptops ( All W11 24H2 ).
In the process I appear to have accidentally deleted my main ( Microsoft ) user account on my desktop.
I am currently logged in to a local user account on my desktop, with administrator privileges, and in Settings / Accounts / Other Users, my main account is not listed. All of the programs that were installed for that user, do not work. The User folder still exists, but I cannot access it ( as expected since I am logged as a different user. )
Can I get back to my main user by re-booting, or is there something else that should be done to prevent loss of programs, and user data?
