I use Chrome, every once & a while (on a search) Bing would open with the results? Is there a way I can stop Bing from opening .... thanks

Don't know about Chrome, but on Edge you can add an extension that opens new tabs as Google. Also you can set the default search engine to google.

Having said that google now gives the crappy AI overview which you could bypass at one point but now harder to do.

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, select More (3 dots) > Settings.
  3. Select Search engine.
  4. Next to "Search engine used in the address bar," select the Down arrow .
  5. Select a new default search engine.
If it is still opening results in Bing, I couldn’t tell you why. I’ve never had that happen.

Just FYI, there is also a extension for Chrome called Chrometana that redirects all Bing searches (and Cortana searches) to the search engine of your choice.

Not how I want it mate, just helps the forum. It’s correct, the thread has a green tick. It only says marke as Unresolved if you want to change it back to not solved.

Click Mark as solved = adds a green tick
Click Mark as unresolved = removes the green tick
