Download an application to display all past entries to google

I used to use edge to download a file on my win11 laptop which dramatically speeded up my laptop. It began with “download Microsoft Windows 10 Pro” followed by more text which I’ve forgotten and after the download completed, without me typing any other text my laptop would the run at a dramatically faster speed as if it was brand new. Please help!!

I really don't have a clue. Was it an official Microsoft file? Have you had a look in the Microsoft Store? If you don't know what it was called, where you downloaded it from or know what it does, I doubt anybody will be able to help.

As for downloading something without installing it (without me typing any other text on my laptop would the run at a dramatically faster) I can't see how it would work. I'd take care that it wasn't a virus.

If I were you, I'd only install something from the Official Microsoft Store or Asus website. There are many many programmes that claim to make your PC/Laptop run faster but most of them are likely to cause you more issues than good. Especially those that claim to clean up your registry to make it run faster.

With the little information you gave to go on, I don't think folk will be able to help much. Sorry.

Thank you. Maybe I was lucky. I run Malwarebytes and another antivirus software regularly to destroy any malware regularly.
