Edge is frequently showing and hiding the Location Services icon in the tray, causing the centered taskbar icons to contract and expand every time

Windows 11
This is in 24H2, fully updated AFAIK. Edge has been causing the Location Services icon to appear and disappear as I use the system, and this is causing my centered taskbar icons to contract and expand several times per minute, it seems like. At least I think it's Edge. I tried disabling Location in Edge to no avail, so I've disabled the Windows setting, which seems to have done the trick. I first looked in the "Other system tray icons", but Location does not appear there. Does anyone know of a better solution than disabling the feature globally?

I disable the location feature as I don't travel for business and have no need for it. When it is active there's usually an arrow on the Notification Area [System Tray] of the Taskbar near the clock. Disabling seems to be the only way to prevent movement on the Taskbar.

Hi. So what is it that you do want to allow in Windows to use location services?
You can disable location services for Apps, I don’t think it is the same as disabling location services globally.

    …still on a horse.
I'm using Windhawk (it's like a third party PowerToys) and one of the mods, Taskbar tray system icon tweaks, has an option for not showing when location is accessed even if it's enabled in Windows settings.

Yes, it was annoying for me as well.
