That's typically X: if you have no account, you can't read anything on X, unless someone places a direct link to the subject.
In my country, government and police post many messages that ought to be readable for anybody on X, thus making it impossible that normal folks, not having an account, can read the message. That really is a shame!

I have a domain name registrars (or resellers) account, I have always been interested in domains.
It’s been hard trying to find out how much Elon payed to reacquire “x .com”
I remember back when it was first bought early 1990’s because there was confusion in the chat rooms I was in, it was supposed to be against domain regulations to buy single letter domains. I was buying up domains from Network Solutions which proved later to be rather profitable but couldn’t get the domain “s” or the domain “seven .com” I believe it was the domain company, Network Solutions who eventually approved the sale of the “x” domain. Then a domain authority apparently bought out (or held) the last 23 letters of the alphabet.
I believe Musk bought “x” off the original owners in the late 1990’s and used it for his On-Line bank (which eventually became PayPal)
Fast forward to 2017… Musk bought back “x .com” from PayPal, but I cant find out for how much. “z” sold for nearly 7 Million dollars, I could only imagine that “x” sold for over 10 Million. Musk was apparently obsessed with the “x” domain and PayPal knew it, so…
