This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable the ability to play the Surf game in Microsoft Edge for all users in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
By default, users can play the Surf game in Microsoft Edge by typing
edge://surf in the address bar, and pressing Enter.Catch the wave in Microsoft Edge. Beware of the Kraken as you ride through the water and try to avoid islands and obstacles with this surfing-themed game when you’re offline.
With three game modes, you’ll have a variety of ways to pass the time.
You can use your keyboard and mouse, touch, or your Xbox, PlayStation, Switch Pro, and the Xbox Adaptive Controller.
On February 14, 2025., Microsoft released a major update for the Edge Surf game.
If wanted, you can use the AllowSurfGame policy to disable the Edge Surf game for all users on the PC.

You must be signed in as an administrator to enable or disable the Edge Surf game.

1 Do step 2 (enable) or step 3 (disable) below for what you want.
2 Enable Microsoft Edge Surf Game for All Users
This is the default setting.

5 Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.
6 When prompted, click/tap on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.
7 If Microsoft Edge is currently open, then close and reopen Microsoft Edge to apply.
8 You can now delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
