In its wisdom, Windows 11 has updated my system again (KB5035942 and KB5035853). I had previously uninstalled KB5035853 because it broke some things -- but this time those things work, and what is broken instead is File Explorer. When I try to open Explorer, or right-click on an item, or try to select Home in an open-file dialog, it takes up to about 30 seconds to respond (by which time I've usually clicked again, and I end up with multiple explorer windows). The only thing I've ever seen cause something like this is a broken network connection to a remote mount, but that's nt the case here -- the network is fine, my shared are all alive and well, exactly as they were before the update.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Can anyone can suggest what the problem might be, or what to do about it apart from rolling my system back to the good old days when everything just worked as it was supposed to?
