Solved Fast User Switching stopped working normally today

From today, I have to go through an extra step to switch users. I click on Start and then my Avatar and normally it lists all the users. But today, I have to click on the three dots and then select another user.

I have tried all the Tutorial steps plus manually editing the registry to no avail.

Unfortunately, that's the new way of having to do it with the new account profile menu in the Start Menu.

Apart from being annoyingly cumbersome to switch accounts now, the old account profile menu was, as far as I can see, the only easy way to tell which (if any) of the other accounts is currently signed in.

As I said, not so easy. Opening Task Manager and switching to the User tab, or using the Command Prompt is hardly as convenient as a quick click on Start. This new account profile window is a step backwards. And apart from anything else, it completely ignores the dark Windows theme. As it happens, MS recently asked for my feedback, I told them exactly what I thought :wink:

Agreed. MS should at least still show the users in the new 3 dots menu as before.
