Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with the standard FileSaveOpen dialog box used for opening, saving, or saving as in an application.

Normally, the folder directory appears at the top under the dialog title, but it's missing:

Pl3IbFluiM-1284.webp

But now, the dialog box appears differently:

1742114955780.webp

How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance!

Probably because Galleria is not an actual destination. Choose another folder from the left column.

No, I'm using the italian localization. This also occurs when I choose another folder from the left column.

I realize that, I was merely pointing out that Gallery is a virtual folder and not an actual destination folder...

Hmmm..., I'm trying to replicate the issue, not havin any luck though...

go to:
"C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows"
cut the "UsrClass.dat" file and paste it somewhere else. reboot.
try saving something again and see if it is fixed. (just dont delete the file until testing. if it does not resolve it, no reason to recreate it)

Sorry for the reopening the thread again. Regenerating a new UsrClass.dat file mess up context menu and other GUI parts. Is there a way to edit just edit the part related to the Save Dialog?

Yes fortunately, and I reverted to the original file. However, I still couldn't fix the Save Dialog title.

Have you already tried Folder Options > View > Reset Folders?

Edit: On second thought, that's unlikely to help with dialog views. You could try resetting all views using the batch file in this tutorial or use WinSetView to set your preferred folder view defaults (it will clear out all existing folder view entries including dialogs).

No luck with those tools.

So far, all we know for sure is that the issue is within HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes. Maybe try deleting the keys listed below (be sure to keep a backup):

Potentially Relevant CLSIDs in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID

  1. Explorer's Address Band
    • {01E04581-4EEE-11D0-BFE9-00AA005B4383}
    • This CLSID represents the Address Band, which is responsible for the address bar in Windows Explorer and file dialogs.
  2. Breadcrumb Bar (modern address bar)
    • {43ABF98B-89B8-472D-B9CE-E69B8229F019}

None of these exist strangely.
