Finding the card reader in the BIOS

I have an old Ivy Bridge desktop running unsuuported Windows 11 pro. Now my problem is that the card reader I s built the machine with is showing power and that there is a SD car inserted but it is not showing up in any drives. I suspect that either the reader has gone bung or there is a setting in the BIOS for enabling the card reader but have no idea of what to look for. The board is an Asus P8Z77-V.
Any help would be very appreciated.

All I see are the Hot Plug toggles on the Advanced tab > SATA Configuration.
These should probably be set as shown, also...
And, on the Boot tab... choose the options in the RED boxes...
I don't see anything else that might affect an SD card.
Motherboard manual link
There are also two Smart Card services that need to be set to Manual (triggered), or Automatic...
In Settings > System > Storage, there are also some settings, but I don't use them at all.

Ok have enabled all SATA ports but still no card reader showing up. I think it must be another port that needs attention or the reader is shot although it is showing power and card inserted LEDs. I think that there may be another port that I have plugged it into also.

Card readers are pretty cheap these days.

Yes mate I just tried the external card reader on my laptop and the SD card shows up so the inbuilt one must be toast. Pity because it had multiple USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports as well. I will just get an external one for the desktop because I couldn't face tearing it down right for reasons that I am not so ambidextrous as I used to be and other health problems at the moment.
