Games fps drops/stutters when more apps opened

Hello,

I have massive FPS Drops on Windows 11 Pro. PC is newly assembled with new parts (except graphic card)
It drops like from 200/300 to 5/10 like for ~1 sec while i have two apps opened - like GTA V and watching football match or have browser game open on second screen

I tried to:

- fix CPU clock
- go back to older BIOS version
- buy different graphic card
- use two graphic cards (with and without integra)

all above solution not works in such situation
only solution is close every not required app while gaming - but on older computer there was no such problem when gaming and watching match or have browser game working on same moment

PC:
MB: MSI B760 Gaming Plus Wifi *new
Memory : Patriot Venom 2x16GB DDR5-6000 *new
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti *used
CPU: Intel i5-14600K *new
PSU: be quiet Pure Power 12 850W *new
Windows 11 Pro

Temperatures are low (55-65 while gaming)

Any help will be useful

Are you using an hdd or ssd?

first screen when im in full ace game - see how fps on right drop (<30)
second when go back on right screen - fps over 500

windows settings -> System -> Display -> Graphics , check in the list of apps if you game is in the list, if so, edit it and put it on High performance. If not in the list, use button browse, select the exe of the game, and put on high performance.
See if that helps.

Also check the Old control panal -> power options, and put on high perfomance:

Your basic hardware setup is very poor. Installing Games and, you say browser, on an external USB 3 drive is not good.

What you need is a decent sized onboard SSD drives, say 2 TB in the onboard M.2 slots on the MOBO. Install games on that.

The external USB 3.2 Gen 2 drive for mundane user data files or something like that.

Windows defaults to game mode in which case when a game is detected shuts down certain things to maximise resources to the game.

I agree with Helmut. Put a 2TB NVMe into the second M.2 slot and play your games on that.
The performance increase would be substantial.

Ok, i will try this as i did previous suggestion and it wont help

@Helmut by poor hardware setup you mean only this external drive?

I bought 2tb ssd put there apps and???
Nothing changed..
Same i reinstalled Windows and still. Im losing hope

Do you have 2 diffrent screen? And the gaming screen on higher refresh rate? and the other one lower?

What happens if you put them both on 60

Is there any tool that checking parameters SO i can record while this issue and share it?

i did more evaluation:

- msi afterburner opened to watch parameters
- 1st screen - game Full Ace Tennis
- 2nd screen:
1) YT video - full hf
2) task manager
3) msi afterburner

i did 3 steps
1) game + YT was enabled on each screen
2) game was enabled
red line is switch moment between step 1/2

see the screen of parameters

What i did before was disconnect integrated graphic. Why?
When i set BROWSER to use integra graphics and meanwhile GAME was set to use only 3070 Ti graphic and start 1st step from above:
- when i click on YT it was playing well while i see game was working on 2nd screen
- but when i click at game = BOTH GAME AND YT WAS FULLY freeze

Same happens when i use one monitor

Now i wonder if there is no issue with:
1) motherboard
2) CPU
3) PSU

pls help!

One more screen:

1) YT is clicked (game in background)
2) game is clicked (YT in bacground)
1') YT is clicked again - same as first step

Maybe not a good solutions if it works, but could you try to turn off hardware acceleration in your browser?
