I currently have a Surface Pro 5 running Windows 11 preview build. I'm a generation too old for the official upgrade. So even though I'm running Windows 11, I can't install the Amazon app store/Android apps.
Mostly I don't mind. My main interest in bothering with Android apps in Windows is the comic reader apps. They are better than the Windows ones (Cover is okay, but several Android ones are better). But I have been thinking about a new Surface and I have a few questions, putting aside the ability to load Google Play or any sort of jerry-rigging. I just mean Android as it is implemented out of the box:

- In the list of apps currently available from the Amazon app store, are Perfect Viewer or Challenger Comics available? They are in the Amazon app store, but I know a smaller subset of those are available to install on Windows, or at least that was the case.
- Can Android apps access 'outside' files, like files on an SD card or in the Documents folder? Or are they sandboxed off?
