I just bought a PC pre-loaded with Win11, Build 22000.

Most things I'm bumping against (e.g., Taskbar Corner Overflow nonsense, Start Menu management) seem to be "fixed" in Builds 22572 and 22610.

How do I get my hands on one of those puppies?

Did you re-boot your device after joining the Beta channel?
Have you enabled 'Send optional diagnostic data' (required for Windows Insider Programme)?

22000.778 is a release build number, not a beta.

Your actual device does not need to be enrolled in insider, only your Microosft Account needs to be enrolled.

I'm getting the same error. It's a problem at Microsoft.

I'm confused what everyone is confused about.
  1. I have 22000.778
  2. The webs are full of "If you have 22572 and/or 22610" stories
  3. So I want one of those.
So:
  1. I signed up for Beta Insider
  2. 22610 appears to be what people who signed up for Beta Insider get
  3. I ain't got it
  4. I want it

So out of nowhere, this morning when I rebooted it rebuilt with 22621.160...

Seriously... it probably just took a while for their servers to register that you turned ON all those Insider things.

You get early builds. Dev is more experimental than Beta as Beta is the step just before the public release. In essence, you're trying out new features to assist Microsoft iron out bugs. Again, Beta is more stable.
