Hey Folks,

I recently upgraded from Win10 to Windows11 23H2, and after installing a bunch of programs (explorerpatcher, SAB, 7TT, Openglass, ClassicShell, WinAero Tweaker) to restore the Windows 7 style, I ran into a weird issue with my title bar buttons. When inactive, they look fairly normal, however when the window is active, the close button is always appearing highlighted. Also, there's these weird seperators between the buttons that were never there before. Any ideas?

First, welcome to ElevenForum!

My suggestion would be to start with uninstalling apps that modify the Windows UI to see if maybe you are encountering a compatibility issue. If that resolves the issue, try checking for updates to these programs before reinstalling.

The five 8TB drives and three 512GB SSDs are part of a DrivePool using StableBit DrivePool software. The three SSDs are devoted purely to caching for the 8TB drives. All of the important data is stored in triplicate so that I can withstand simultaneous failure of 2 disks.

did you apply a theme atlas? or used uxthemepatcher and just applied a prebuilt theme?

Thank you =)!

Yep, that was the first thing I did. I uninstalled everything, and tried to undo all of my changes (aside from some OpenGlass DWM registry edits I made, however this issue precedes them). My windows 11 is as close to factory settings as I could get it, without having to do a fresh install, which I'm saving as a last resort.

Yep, that was what I forgot to undo. You nailed it, and have resolved a three hour headache. Thank you very much, friend!

Edit: For context, I restarted my theme in Personalization, and that resolved the issue.
