Use Windows Update Troubleshooter.

  • Right-click on Start button and pick Settings
  • Go to System > Troubleshoot
  • Click on Other Troubleshooters > Windows Update and click Run button.

Resetting the Windows Update components can usually solve these types of issues.

all with now errors. But still will not update. So have paused updates for now. I might have to stop the insider program on this device.

That is a pretty old build there. The final build for Moment 2 is 22621.1325 (which is only a few builds before yours). The final build for Moment 3 (22H2) is 22621.1755.

I suggest trying to grab a Moment 3 ISO from UUPDUMP and doing an in-place upgrade first, and then try Windows update to see if it will bump you up to the new build.

Wait, SO, you're currently on 22624.1391? Or 22623.1470?

The final bits for Moment 2 is version 22623.1325 (which becomes 22621.1325):

The final bits for Moment 3 is version 22624.1755 (which becomes 22621.1755):

But I'm not sure which way you should go to try to repair this.

@Brink or anyone else have any ideas on this one? Normally I'd say just grab the latest via UUPDUMP and do an in-place upgrade, but is that safe with the now-defunct 22623 and 22624 builds?

I am back, what I did to repair the problem was to run setup on windows 11 pro and do a keep apps and settings and fresh install of 22h2 then update from there. Thank you, guys, for responding. All I had done is upgraded my process to a i9900kf from 8700k. It must have corrupted something.
