Heaven Benchmark giving strange results with Windows 11

I have been running the Heaven Benchmark on it and trying to post it on the thread show below. Unfortunately, the results have been rejected. The reason is the results show Preset=Custom even though Preset=Extreme is how Heaven was configured. Is Windows 11 the problem?

Note, I am familiar with the Heaven Benchmark. I am already on the leaderboard with my desktop computer with Windows 10 and an Nvidia RTX 3060-Ti GPU.

Are you using DSR in the Nvidia drivers? The screen size seems peculiar.

My result shows different from yours (ignore the score, was rendering in blender at the time).

My laptop display is 1920x1080 like my desktop. In my desktop Heaven runs in a 1600x900 window like it should. However, in my laptop even though Heaven is set to 1600x900 but it is stretched to fill the full screen.

The Nvidia 3D settings are rather sparse as shown below. There are no DSR settings there. Note I am using the Nvidia driver from the OEM ASUS.

I would think this is some weird scaling and/ or full screen optimisation happening with Windows then.
Check the Windows settings for graphics to make sure that the performance is set right for the app, if it allows you to. The 1550 x 855 resolution is not full screen 1080p, obviously.
What happens if you check the box on Heaven to run in full screen?

In Windows Display Settings > Graphics, Heaven is set to run on the RTX 3060. As you can see in the results it does.

I just realized Heaven is running in a 1600x900 window. That would explain the strange 1550 x 855 resolution for the application itself.

The thread in tenforums requires everyone to use the Preset=Extreme. This sets the resolution for the benchmark to run in 1600x900. When this is set the Full Screen option is not available.

Here are two views. Top is how I see it with Heaven filling the full screen. The bottom is what I get if I do a full screen screenshot. Note everything outside the 1600x900 is black.

I just ran a new test. This time Preset=Custom and Full Screen=Enabled. When I do this Heaven runs full screen at 1600x900 and not in a window.

Ok, that is definitely not 'right'.
Just to confirm, this is the laptop you are running Heaven on using the built in screen?
Do you have an external monitor you can test with?
The windowed performance is odd, the background should not be black, obviously, it should show your desktop display behind the window, so I still believe this is to do with a scaling issue, maybe due to a resolution mismatch/ refresh rate issue?
Do you have some form of window snapping/ customisation enabled?
Have you disabled full screen optimisations for the app, if available?
Just grasping here.
I have run the benchmark in several configurations on my desktop under Win11, upto date version with an Nvidia 30 series and it runs without issues, windowed & full screen, so this really seems to be due to the way Windows is interacting with the app on that laptop, but not an inherent problem with Win11, some setting is causing it to misbehave.

For Heaven.exe I set the Graphic preference to "Don't use optimizations for windowed games". No difference.
Snap Windows is turned off.

I have had this laptop less than one week. This is my first computer with Windows 11.

I think I mentioned that Heaven runs fine on my desktop with Windows 10 Pro and an RTX 3060-Ti GPU.

Scaling set to 125% on a 1080p screen seems a little odd, try setting it to 100% and re run the Heaven extreme preset, see what happens.

Scaling on a laptop with 1080p needs to be 125% because otherwise the text would be smaller than is comfortable to read. The scaling on my old laptop with a 1080p screen was also 125% for the same reason. On the other hand desktop computers with much larger displays usually default to 100% scaling where reading text is much easier.

I tried setting the scaling on my laptop to 100% but I got tired of straining my eyes to read the small text. Scaling will stay at the Microsoft recommended 125%.

Update:

I tried Heaven with 100% scaling. This time the results were normal. I will still keep scaling at 125% for normal use but make the exception of setting the scaling to 100% just for when I run Heaven.

So it was a scaling issue causing the odd result for Heaven? I understand fully the screen on a laptop being too small to read comfortably, I myself have a hard enough time with a 32" 1440p screen, something to do with age my daughters tell me.
