I have 2 Notebooks with the same onboard Intel Iris Xe adapter, a Dell Vostro I'm on now with the driver dated in July this year. The other is an HP Laptop 15, kinda low end I was given for parts but fixed, whose driver is dated mid-2020. Both work fine but the HP is from 2019 with Win10 but had an issue when upgraded to Win11 with a red line across the screen the screen flashing to black and back, ended up with a fully clean drive and install, problem now gone. If the graphics are working as desired I wouldn't worry about the name.

Probably because the driver was updated. Be glad. Iris graphics are a significant improvement, .The following is from Intel specs of i5-1235U

You state "I went to a shop..." If this was a recent visit, within a month or so, contact them for some information/advice. As an additional note, I doubt it's anything to be too concerned about, since it is most likely an update.

Don't think this is a specific name change but it switched from using UHD video to Xe. Appears Xe graphics is only available on mobile CPUs. Your post caused me to look into this as I have no experience with Xe graphics. Apparently your laptop(which CPU are you using?) has both video hardware imbedded in the CPU. Perhaps it was a video driver update that caused the switch?

    Other Info
I'm a computer enthusiast so have quite a few systems that I run. More like an advanced hobby.
I'm on my HP Laptop now and see I misspoke, it has the Intel Iris Plus driver, accounts for the different date of the driver since the Notebook is from 2019. As for the screen blanking issue it had when it was given to me, no recurrence of the problem since clean install a week ago.
