Solved How to just skip this update?

I am in Insiders beta program. In another thread I documented how, like others, the 22635.3646 update won't install. (BTW a number of people have documented this in the Feedback Hub, so it will hopefully be fixed soon!)

Anyway my question - as you can see from the image below, it still shows that install as available for Retry in Windows Update. More worrisome to me is it says "we'll try again later". Is there a way I can just remove this update and make it look like I have not checked for it yet? I now have "Get the latest updates" button turned off. I have also cleared out the Software Distribution folder. I just want it ready for the next update when it comes, and not to try to retry installing this update - when it does, it hoses my audio and I have to reboot Windows again to get it back. It has tried to install it twice now on its own - it may have been before I toggled "Get the latest updates" off though, I am not sure of the timing I tried so many things lol.

There are some programs that can block Windows Updates, or even block certain Windows Updates...

Thanks @Ghot . Since this link was Windows 10, was it superseded by the toggle switch I show above, which is now off? Will the toggle suppress future updates until I manually do them?

No.
I have that toggle turned... OFF.

The normal time for Windows Updates is the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
Occasionally, there's another optional update around the last Tuesday of the month... for "preview" updates.

The toggle, just affects the "optional" updates.

That Windows 10 link has various options to choose from.
I use WAU Manager. It shows me all the available updates and allows me to "hide" any of them.

You can control updates you receive through WuMgr. I find it effective. No need to turn off the update feature. That also controls important security updates, not just Windows updates.

Ah WuMgr worked perfectly! I paused and resumed on the Windows update page after hiding that update in WuMgr, and it now says all up to date now. Thank you @Wisewiz for the other thread, and @jvickers and @Ghot for your advice and suggestions! I turned the toggle back on now too.
