Hi folks
Hyper-V now working properly with GUEST->HOST communication -- HOST-GUEST wasn't an issue before but GUEST-HOST wasn't working - using external switch.

I bet it is the good old reboot 2-3 times that sorted this.

I tried that - no go -- and also ping would not work either.

Anyway problem solved !!!

I suspect if 25H1 ever appear there'll be another whole slew of problems knowing Ms.

How did you solve problems - sometimes a full shutdown is needed with Hyper-V to "free up" the nic properly.

Solved by updating to Canary Channel -- problem still exists on old build (restored image -so on identical computer) - same problem -- All OK on canary channel -- although I'd still rather use the "bog standard" build for normal usage.

So problem still exists on previous build. I suspect the problem could have been to do with some corruption within the Windows security mechanism since Windows defender switches wouldn't turn off when I wanted to test some specific files with some dodgy contents and some other OK stuff just refused to run.

I'll wit until the next release of the Windows "Standard" non insider version before having another go -- meanwhile the Canary build seems to be doing just fine for me.
