I can't produce TSV file using Karen's Directory Printer
See error message at bottom of image. I've used KDP successfully in the past. But after several unsuccessful attempts I decided to post a query here. I've:
chosen attributes needed
Selected the drive to be disaggregated (E:\ in this case)
clicked "save to disk"
Entered a filename (target)
And KDP continues to produce the error message.
What am I doing wrong??

It's a "Karen"...what would you expect?
Seriously though...it seems that the app does not have permission to access the temp folder on C drive. Either you have protected folder access in Windows Defender enabled but have not given Karen access, or the folder permissions has changed. Go check the C:\Documents.... folder who is the owner and who has permission to write and read there.

Try a simpler file name - just use the DirPrnInfo.tsv directly into the c:\Documents. If it works, then manually rename it

Thanks for the responses. I still don't know "why" but I'm now able to use KDP. Perission denied (message truncated) is apparently because I tried to chage the target filename. If I leave it blank the program runs and writes the information to a filename "DirPrnInfo.tsv". Further, if I try to do another run on a differrent HDD I get the error again. So I need to go to file explorer and change the fileneme,, then the program runs and sreates/writes to "DirPrnInfo.tsv".

Glad to see you've resolved the issue you were having, but I still think there's some other underlying issue. If you can save it one way (KDP default file naming) you should be able to save it no matter what name you give it
The destination path C:\Documents ... have you created a separate folder called Documents under the root C:\ drive? Try saving to the Windows system user folder Documents?
I note your image includes the system $RECYCLE.BIN folder on the E: drive, that may be a sticking point (KDP can't access a systems folder)?

Notepad, or you can import to Excel, just like a .csv file, except TSV uses tabs instead of commas for value separation.
TSV = Tab Separated Values
CSV = Comma Separated Values

True, but also TSV = Transport Stream Video. As you may know LG and other TVs can record a program but only to watch. It is encrypted and you cannot edit it in the computer, so I bought a standalone DTV tuner (set top box) that can record an editable video stream to a USB flash drive. Unlike my older models that saved in M2TS or similar, my new box saves in .TSV format. I tried to edit the file directly with my usual application but the sound gets out of sync. The only application that can edit these files properly is Handbrake, so I edit it there or convert it to MKV for editing in my usual application. Of course Media Player Classic didn't open it by default, but once I associated the .TSV extension with MPC-HC, it opens with double-click. MediaInfo reveals the video to be compressed in AVC and the audio in MPEG2.
