Imgur new Terms of Service will ban explicit content starting May 15

We recently announced some changes to our Terms of Service that will be effective May 15, 2023. This help article aims to provide some clarifications on what this change entails and what those changes mean for Imgur as a whole. This change to our ToS will bring closer parity to our Community Rules and will not change anything for public posts. There are a couple of reasons we wanted to make this change, which we'll outline below.

"What are we doing?"
Our new Terms of Service will go into effect on May 15, 2023. We will be focused on removing old, unused, and inactive content that is not tied to a user account from our platform as well as nudity, pornography, & sexually explicit content. You will need to download/save any images that you wish to save if they no longer adhere to these Terms. Most notably, this would include explicit/pornographic content.

I mean, they're talking about censoring personal Imgur albums.
H*ll... pretty soon you won't even be able to save pics of Biden saying something stupid.

I can't even view my 50 or so pages of images (which aren't public), right now. :/

That's probably more than 80% of the content shared through imgur. A common sense move - on their part - which should be able to clear most of the wasted space on their servers.

These are images that have never been "posted". They're just images I needed a "link" for.
I've had an Imgur account for 11 years.

The imgur community revolves around meme content (for a large part - at least). So, nah... pretty much doubt they'll cut the crack under their feet. They only mentioned "nudity, pornography, & sexually explicit content" - in terms of personal content. Getting with the times i guess (even a law in many places of the world).

LE. Checked just now, works just fine on my side (I can access all the pages - and some are 7 years old).

After scrolling through my images, down at the bottom is a link to "Use old design"
Clicking on that then giving my reason (easier to use), then signing in again... everything is back the way it was.

My images are under... "Images". Imagine that.
