This website will generate an autounattend.xlm file that can be used to install Windows unattended. There are other, similar resources on the Web.

This one seems to cover all bases. Are there better ones out there or even a portable app?

Here's another one

If this works out well for you, do let us know. I can't tell you how many times I have helped people to fix those autogenerated answer files because something was misconfigured. I'm sure that works fine, at least sometimes, but just be aware that there will sometimes be issues that you may need to fix.

My personal preference is to create it manually. If you follow Kari's tutorial on the topic, it may be a little unfamiliar the first time through, but then it is a breeze. I think that I can create one entirely from scratch in 5 to 10 minutes.

Also, once you have one created, you can use it as a template. You easily change small details like username, drive to which Windows should be installed, etc. in mere seconds just by editing it in Notepad.

Just to clarify, I am NOT discouraging the use of such tools. Just making you aware that there is a possibility for needing to do some debugging after creating the answer file.

Right now, I have a small library of answer files. Some will do a 100% automated install, others will do a fully automated install EXCEPT that they stop briefly to allow the user to select the drive to which windows should be installed, another one scripts the partitioning to ensure that the Recovery Tools partition is placed last on the drive, etc. I even have one that does not automate the installation at all. The only things it does is bypass Win 11 requirements and create a local user account.

If you try this and run into any difficulties, post a copy of the answer file and I can help you to debug it.

The five 8TB drives and three 512GB SSDs are part of a DrivePool using StableBit DrivePool software. The three SSDs are devoted purely to caching for the 8TB drives. All of the important data is stored in triplicate so that I can withstand simultaneous failure of 2 disks.
