Installing Malwarebytes Premium

It now seems that you have to de-activate Windows Defender's Firewall - if you're running it - in order to install Malwarebytes Premium from release v 4.6.4.286 (onwards?).

Not for me. I just did a manual update. However, I do not have MWB Browser Guard extension installed as it slowed my browser. That might make a difference.

Not for me, either. I installed it, it knocked out WD, I hit the switch to NOT Always register …, and all was well. WD started again immediately. Both running; both happy.

Explanatory postscript: I noticed that MWB wasn't recognizing my installation of MWB Browser Guard on Chrome. Posted this to the MWB Forum, and had a lengthy exchange with excellent support there, finally discovering that the fact that I use a symlink to park the Chrome cache on another drive was the culprit. In the process, I used the MWB tool to unistall and re-install on two machines a couple of times, and had no problem with either. But on reflection, I think the version number may have been earlier than the 286 @IanMosley cites, even though this was only a few days ago.
