Windows 10
I am getting a new laptop. I have had the pleasure of using a very similar model on Windows 10 for a few years and very pleased with it.
My only moan about the new laptop it is that it will come with Windows 11 already preinstalled but it will almost certainly be an old version of Windows 11.
I am an impatient person and would prefer to miss out some of the versions, after I have installed the first one "normally". Is it possible to do so using something like Rufus ? I wouldn't want to go straight to the latest edition, I am also wondering if Windows 11 would be expecting files from a different version of 11 that were not present. I expect I have made you think I'm stupid but I have 6 Windows 10 machines two of which are only a couple of years old and I have been very pleased with them. Can someone advise on my issues please ?

You can do an in-place upgrade for any version as long as the iso you use to upgrade with is the same or later version than the version you have installed, In other words, you can not downgrade without a clean install.

I've had a Lenovo Ideapad for a month, after initial setup it did the necessary updates for 23H2, rebooted and finished by installing 24H2 update, everything seems fine.
