OS
Windows 11 vmware
Windows started as an alternative to DOS cause of the ability to launch multiple apps in windows at the same time.

Since windows 11, and Windows started removing this ability slowly. First the settings window, you can not open another setting window, it will redirect to the same setting window And then settings in the new APPx (like notepad, camera , ....) are opened now in the same window, even search in notepad for example is opened now in the same window. Before you could open settings and search in another window while still using the app.

I hate this new thing that you can not open windows in Windows anymore.

What do you think? should we start a feedback about it?

Huh!?

Notepad now has multi-tabs which you can drag out into separate windows. Edge, File Explorer does same.

Excel etc open multiple windows.

I cannot see why you would want multiple setting windows open at same time.

Feedback your "views" by all means to MS but I seriously doubt you will get support as your statements make little sense.

You mean multiple instances of the same app.

Who needs that. But you can with some software, Firefox for instance, Excel, Notepad. There are others but I am having a memory issue ATM

Anyway, why would you need multiple instances of settings open?
I’m with Cereberus, your post is a little confusing

You are confusing it with a window

The things you are mentioning were achievable before, the things I mentioned are phased out.

With time, if no one sends a feedback, MS will phase out multiple instance as well.

Maybe for you it is confusing, but for people like me, who multitask, it a must have feature.

If things are confusing for you, and you think it is not needed just because of you can't handle it, there are literately billions of people on this planet,. People have different needs, and a lot don't get confused easily and have needs to multitask.
