Strange issue with Insignia external speakers with my Lenovo Laptop running Windows 11. Plugged into AC and USB port, turned on, paired with Bluetooth successfully, went to SETTINGS to confirm correct input. Still nothing from speakers. They worked fine for awhile, kicked off, reconnected sucessfully, kicked off again, now not working at all. SETTINGS confirm bluetooth pairing, but no sound. Here's the strange part: I AM able to get sound when I pair them with my Galaxy phone, able to blast music just fine. But total silence on PC. Am I missing some sort of output/input/other setting? Also tried wired connectivity with plug supplied by Insignia connected from aux plus of speaker to headphone jack of laptop, still silence. Stumpted. Thx in advance.

AC power, USB and Bluetooth, appears to be something not needed. AC providing power, maybe USB supplying power and Bluetooth providing the audio feed. Several models found by Search so don't have a clue which is in use.

Since you didn't say what speakers you have then I assume you have this one:

Insignia - 25w (per speaker, 50w total) Bluetooth Bookshelf Speakers - Black (Model: NS-HBTSS116 SKU: 5283401)

User Manual
Setup Guide

The USB connector is for charging only, not for audio input. Probably for charging a device like a phone.

Bluetooth is finicky in that you can only connect to one device at a time. That means that if you connect to your phone and later want to connect it to the laptop you might have to pair it again.

BTW, I have a Bluetooth headset. Sometime when I want to connect to my laptop it doesn't want to work. I then have to go into the Windows settings and
  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings
  2. Remove the headset device in the list
  3. Pair the headset again
The headset then works OK again.
