Looking for a folder descriptor term

I'd like to find a term that describes the total size of the files in a folder. Does anyone know if there is one?

Unfortunately, "Total Size" is NOT what you are looking for. It shows the size of everything in the current folder including all subfolders, not the size of each individual folder. I wasn't able to spot anything that does what you want in File Explorer.

I'm going to dig a little more, if I get lucky and find anything then I will post back.

EDIT: After re-reading your post, I now doubt myself. If I have misunderstood and you want the size of the CURRENT folder that you are in with everything included in that folder, then @KevTech is spot on. If you are looking for an entry that shows the size of each individual folder, that is what I have not been able to identify.

Total file size seems to be the size of the partition. I'd like to find the size of the contents of that folder.

I'm fairly certain that isn't something Windows tracks. Explorer only calculates it when you open the properties of a directory.

Nope. Not in File Exploerer. No doubt you could probably add a column for it in a 3rd party File Explorer.

Right. If you ponder on it, if you open a big folder like Program Files or Winders, calculating the size of the child folders would be excruciating. Explorer is slow enough already.

I use Explorer ++ portable and can bend it in all kinds of ways and option it to show all kinds of info, but no way to show sizes of individual files inside a folder without opening the parent folder. I use file explorer too on the fly, but if I want something a little more robust, I go to Explorer++. I really like that I don't have to install something that might in any way interfere with file explorer.

Site says “Add or Remove Programs control panel”
Or use Revo?
I just point people to stuff they might want to try in regards to their enquiries. I don’t necessarily use them.

Except for WinDirStat. I use that as I mentioned.

I don't think you can get the size of a new 'named' folder that holds personal contents. I don't see that option on many of mine.

And you’re saying it wont uninstall?
Are you also saying you didn’t perform a current backup before trying it?

It says on the software page that you can use the normal process to uninstall it but you may have to manually reset your folder views after it.

I do have a backup. It just seems strange that I can't find a standard way to uninstall the program.

Well, firstly, how the hell do you get it to run? Me thinks this dead.

As for removing it:

Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Programs and Features > Folder Size (64Bit)
Double click and away it goes.
