I have found a few bugs in audio in 24H2 during testing. While trying to solve some bugs for an audioprogram. So two things you could try out.
1. audiodg.exe leaks handles during continues music playing, and gaming. resulting in audiodg.exe to get over 30.000+ handles after a few days of continues use. It does release them, if there is a 10to 15min pause between audio, and the audiodg.exe is exiting on its own, so restarting the exe solves this issue.
So if you kill in task manager, audiodg.exe and start playing sound again does this work? (audiodg.exe will start again on its own)
2. An other issue is with Audio Enhancements, that i needed to turn off to solve some audio issues under: System -> Sound -> the audio device properties. Advanged settings -> audio enhancements -> Turn Device Default Effects, to Off. Now test if audio keeps playing.
When this not works, and audio is not working, can you check in Device Manager, if you audio device is still in the list and functions properly, right click audio device -> properties -> textbox at the bottom will show the status of the device.
