Hi folks
those using latest updates to Mariadb might find messages when starting command mysql that warning is issued saying name is deprecated.
Simply start command with mariadb instead of mysql.

This might effect users using programs like heidsql to access mariadb databases.

type instead

It's possible to link or make an alias but that could cause problems later on.

This seems to be IMO a rather stupid and unnecessary update that MariaDB has done -- not sure at all why they've done it -- but it could break some things if you aren't aware of it.

Running version :

hrafn@refur ~]$ mariadb --version
mariadb from 11.0.2-MariaDB, client 15.2

same whether running on Windows , Linux or the WSL.

cheers
jimbo
