So ever since Office 2007, the default font has been Calibri, which replaced Times New Roman. Many people weren't sure about calibri, likely since it was a bit overused, but personally I didn't mind it. Anyway, with a new Office 365 update, the default font has been changed to Aptos over all software (including outlook). This is since aptos is more modern, and also scales up much better than Calibri - it is higher def.
Here is a comparison:

They are both the same size, 18pt, however Aptos Display appears larger.
It is more modern, however for now I have switched word back to the default of Calibri as I'm not too sure...
