Microsoft Rewards Icon and Counter in search box

When the Windows region is set outside Europe I can see the Microsoft Rewards Icon and counter in the serch box.



When the region is set inside Europe the counter is gone.



I don't really need this function but I am curious if there is any way (vivetool, registry, etc) to get the Rewards icon and counter when the region is set in EEA?

Microsoft Rewards availability varies depending on your location, so even within Europe, some countries might not have access to the feature.

As for fooling the system into showing the rewards icon, I don’t know of one. If rewards aren’t available in your specific region, then what would there be to show?

I would guess, try setting your specific location to one that is listed in the “Europe” drop down in the link above?
But you may be right, someone might know of a ViveTool advantage.

It's probably buried under one of the regional policies in "C:\Windows\System32\IntegratedServicesRegionPolicySet.json".
Only a few policies are fairly obvious to what they do, but the rest are....

You can edit the file, switch the "defaultstate" value and log out before seeing if anything changed for you.
