OS
Windows 11
From my other post sysprep.exe issue
Only way I could get PC running without issues is Acronis recovery from backup. When I run MS 365 outlook I get this error... how do I fix this? Can't get past this.

Have you looked to see if the folder does exist? I don't use Outlook so I don't know if it would be a problem or not to setup your comcast account again. If not, that is what I would try.

@PA WOODCHUCK,

I use Office 365 to include the desktop Outlook app. Your .OST file for Outlook 365 is located in your user profile by default - :\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook.

In fact, you can even back it up :-)

That said, if you are being told the file can't be found, you may have moved it, or somehow (no idea how) it was deleted or may have become corrupted.

Edited to say, I'm also an Acronis (subscription) user and can definitively say Acronis would back up the file if you chose to do so. Acronis will also backup and restore .PST files.

Thanks for the reply along with URL. I'll create a new profile/user email account and once that's working import (.pst) from my other PC running office 2010 from today. Once I get outlook to load without above error. Going through repair now

UPDATE:
creating new account/profile and then importing .pst from other PC worked. still working through minor issues such a OL icon in task bar when OL is started. Even the same if pinned. Question, where would this OL icon be located/stored and how to correct it?? I have run the office 365 online repair several times.

I agree with @kelper, the (1) frequently appears with a duplicate file name. If that is the only file found copy it to a different location and remove the (1) on the one found as it will spoil the finding that Outlook wants.

It's been using that (1) on account for over a year. I'm going to remove that profile in folder

Fix was I created new profile/account after deleting old accounts. And then imported .pst from my other PC running office 2010. All working so far.
