Blue tooth - purchased July 17th-- to replace 2 year old mouse. I have an old HP battery run mouse - can I install that on my Lenovo laptop? I put batteries in but no deal so must need the software. I found where to d.l.that but not sure if it is worth the bother. Thanks all...

What kind of mouse is the new/old mouse? Being battery operated, does this old mouse have an associated dongle that plugs into a USB port? Currently I use wireless Logitech mice and keyboards with all my computers and never really had an issue. But they all have an associated dongle. Look in the bottom of the mouse and see if there is a compartment for storing the dongle. That's where I usually keep mine.

I have a whole box of mice that date back more than 20 years. Some are wired and some are remote. They all still work as long as they are paired with their associated interfaces.

This computer is connected to my IC-735 radio.
The ongoing mouse saga. I plugged the latest newest version into pc yesterday and presumably it was charged. Apparenlty not - I thought as a last ditch move that I would try that again today. Guess that's all it needed. Boy, charges do not last on these devices. So anyway, works.

Regarding the HP -Bottom only has compartment for batteries. I would like to be able to use the HP but think I'm missing critical parts. Yes? Thanks for your input.
