Multi boot options: Windows 11 Pro 64 for Workstation / Linux varieties x5 / In house custom OS
Hello,
As far as text editors are concerned I don't need Wordpad as there are a multitude of freeware replacements, but I really appreciate Wordpad's ability to insert packages/objects. Is there another (freeware) text editor that does this AND IF POSSIBLE also has the ability to open 15 years worth of a number of old WordPad files that have intermixed objects, links, and text???

Thank You

This has been discussed many times. Just copy wordpad files to a folder and create shortcut.

When all else fails, Google it!!!

I did, and I found this:

I followed their instructions, and now have a shortcut to Wordpad in my Task Bar.

And now I have the necessary files, in my Utils disk, so I can restore Wordpad to any new OS. (24H2 + )

Cheers Mates!
