Not wanting to open an old thread, I'm quoting myself. "I recently paired my desktop to my Bose soundbar so that I could listen to Spotify. Now every time I start my computer it connects to the Bose soundbar and turns off the sound from my TV. Is there a setting on my computer to stop the automatic connecting or is unpairing or turning off Bluetooth the only way?" I bought a set of Sony Bluethooth ear buds and set them up on my desktop. When I turned Bluetooth back on the Bose speakers turned off the audio from the TV. Not wanting to unpair my speakers or turn off Bluetooth. I decided to do some thorough investigating for a solution. To my surprise I found a setting to disconnect the Bose speakers. In Bluetooth & Devices the option is under Devices. When I clicked on Devices a menu with all of my Bluetooth devices showed up. I scrolled down and found the disconnect option. I've done a few test and so far the TV sound hasn't been disconnected. Seeing that my orinal post is about two years old I don't know if I missed the option or if MS programed the option into the Bluetooth options. I just wanted to post this in case someone else runs into the problem I had.
My fix didn't work very long. When I turned off my computer it was working. The next day as soon as I turned on the computer the Bose soundbar switched to the computer. I disabled the Bose devices in Device Manger. I'll see how it goes for a few days. If it works I'll mark this thread solved again. I can' believe there's no option to turn off auto pairing of a Bluetooth device.
