Hi:

I am using the latest version of Windows 11 Pro (24H2) and have 2 WD MyCloud Home drives hooked up to my Home Network Router.

Both Drives originally installed ok and both are working perfectly with my Backup Software on a daily basis.

I see both drives in Windows Explorer under the Network Tab. One drive, with Windows Explorer I see all the directories and files etc on the drive.

The other drive I see the Drive with Windows Explorer but can't access the drive. I get an error inside Explorer saying it can't access the drive and Troubleshooter can't find the problem

However if I use the WD software I can access the drive and see the directories and files etc.

I am at a loss as to why I can't access both drives from Windows.

The fact that one drive can be accessed from Windows and the other can't is baffling. I got these 2 drives on a good deal and would like to make my life easier by being able to access both drives from Windows.

And comments or idea would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

I think your answer lies within the router management page somewhere.

I am a little confused as why the Router would be the issue. Both drives work on the network, both drives work in Windows, both drives work with the WD Software, and backups to both drives are done on a nightly basis perfectly. The issue is why I can't see the one drives contents from Windows Explorer, the other drive has no problem from access via Windows Explorer..
