New Logitech Stream Pro C922 1080p at 30fps or 720 at 60fps, graininess around forehead face at full screen, thoughts
New camera on a Lenovo laptop with 13700H CPU and 32gb ram. Using either OBS or Logi Capture still get graininess on full screen. I look at Youtube videos where the picture is spotless. Perhaps they are not really using the C922 pro or have front ring or other lighting. I do not. Have overhead light from fan (4 lights),
Any ideas appreciated..
Videos I followed that looked stellar are:
Link from Google drive to video I recorded with graininess. Happens at 1080p or 720p at 30 or 60fps
Hi Peter, I watched your video on my 12” iPad and I don’t see anything but maybe too much light on the top of your head.
It could be my eyes? It could be the fact I am not at my computer? But I don’t see what you’re drscribing. I watched the video 4 times at different sizes. I actually found it quite clear.
Are you sure it is not the video playback on your computer that is showing you what you’re worried about?

Mistake posting twice. My apologies. Got lost in the windows I was posting to. Thank you. I will look at video on my other older laptop and see. Got a good 1440P LG Ultragear monitor but set at 1080p
Thanks
Peter

I watched it several times on a 27" monitor using VLC. I couldn't see anything abnormal in either windowed or full screen. I agree the light on the upper part of you face could be a factor why I couldn't detect anything.
So looks same on other computer. Probably lighting or people recording these YT instructional videos are not really using the camera I have but perhaps a high end camera or DSLR even though the screen indicates (per above video links posted by others on this webcam setup) that they are... I mean those videos like other more professional YT videos are pretty darn sharp.

A ring light seems to work well, I will admit I don’t know anything about them but they always look professional on content makers videos. Might be worth investing? I’d guess you could get them cheap.

They could tell you anything to sell something. I am sure Logitech gives them 2 dimes every time they say ”Logitech” in a content video. Or a free cam that isn’t the one they’re selling but the better one they are using. I don’t believe anything I see on the internet anymore, but I am a cynical old fart.

If your actually looking at the video you uploaded for us to watch then my first guess would be it's your monitors or video cards. I'm basing this on the fact that we can't see it. It's also possible that you need to get better lighting. A few weeks ago my wife was doing a video session with one of her doctors. The image from her camera looked like it was from a cheap homemade VHS tape. As soon as I turned on the main light in the room the video cleared right up.
Thank you all for your comments and taking the time to test the video.
I do appreciate it. Very kind of you.
I will try with some better lighting. doesn’t matter that much but I was just curious. At least I have a newer camera which I got renewed for a cheaper price on Amazon.
By the way, I have my monitors on the laptops next to each other both set for 1080P as it’s easier on my eyes than having a higher resolution which I could have. My refresh rate goes up to about 190 Hz or so fwiw ,
Thanks again and have a good Friday, weekend, and new year!!!!
