I recently installed New Outlook but had not used Outlook prior to this. I don't seem to have a To Do (Task) icon on the left side where the rest are. As my tasks are with Google, I would like to sync them in Outlook (not sure if this is doable) but can't try until I can set up tasks in the first place.

Suggestions please.

The new hamburger lines at the top next to home, what exactly is in that?

I will be connecting to England in the next few days to help a member at which point I will get to see what’s changed in Outlook.

Also, what is the square with the 4 smaller squares, bottom left toolbar?
In the past, at least back in March the last time I connected to somebody, one would select “All Folders” at the bottom left and everything would show

So I was just now connected to England helping a member here (Sigurd) with Outlook 365 (Classic Outlook) The appointment was moved forward.

Everything is as I remember it, file menu and everything intact.
The difference I believe is he doesn't have the "New Outlook" toggled on.

When Outlook 2024 is released, I am going to buy it.
If at that point I notice anything like you have described has changed, I am giving it away or dumping if for my beloved Outlook 2021 version.

Every day seems to be bring your kid to work day in the Outlook devs office. If it wasn’t bad enough that they made a debacle with the version names

I only have My Day in the Calendar tab and that has no separate To Do tab.

Cool. I have actually never downloaded this and it's in my Start Menu

If it is now only an independent app and not integrated into Outlook, that is just ridiculous. I'll have to inspect.

In my (New) Outlook for Windows | Microsoft 365 it has To Do integrated by default.

Wondering if it integrates once a task has been entered. Im just a little sidetracked presently.

You may need to update your new Outlook. I can see the To-Do icon in my new Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.903.200. By the way, you can now access it offline for up to 180 days
