Solved New upgraded Win 11 PC not discoverable

Win 11Pro v24H2 build 26100.2894
Upgraded PC from Win 10 Pro to Win 11 Pro via Media Creator USB. New Network is set to Public, discoverable, and file sharing is on. Other Win 11 Pro PC has same network setup. Neither PC can discover the other.

When the upgraded PC was Win 10 Pro, both PCs could see each other and share files to their Public folders. When I try to access the new PCs Public folder from my PC I get the message that 'Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is already in use.'

Both PCs are v22H2 build 22621.2506

Any ideas out there?

A private network allows easier network navigation/access. Can you access the new computer with it's IP address instead of computer name?

Checked my PC and found out it was disabled to the network. Enabled the PC, rebooted, and I can see the new PC. However, the new PC is asking for my credentials to sign on. Have never had to do this before. Have no idea as to what to put in the ID and password boxes.

Decided to select My PC on each PC, select 'Add Network Location', added each PCs name and Public Folder, selected finish. I can see the new PC from mine and the new PC can see the Public Folder. Hopefully that will remain permanent until I change it.
