Windows 11 Pro
I reinstalled windows 11 today, thinking it would fix Spotlight, which stopped working about a month ago, but no such luck. Also having trouble launching a windows store downloaded game I have been playing for years now, to discover that in task manager, the process had been suspended. After Googling how to 'unsuspend' it, none of those 'fixes' suggested actually fixed it. Oh well.....however the Spotlight issue really burns, because I'm not the only one having an issue with it, and I'm sure the developers are aware of it as well.

I reinstalled windows 11 today, thinking it would fix Spotlight,
When you say "installed" do you mean a clean install or a repair install?

You are right. Spotlight is a problem for a lot of folks though I have no issues with spotlight myself.

Have you tried creating a local test account to see if spotlight works correctly there? I have found that having a second account for testing some of these crazy windows 11 issues is helpful in narrowing down where the trouble might be.
.
Create a new local account
Settings>Accounts>Scroll down and click on Other Users.
Select add account>select I don't have this person's signin information

This will let you create a local account
In user name box name the account and assign a password.
Very Important- Make the new user an administrator. Once account is created, to the right of the new user name click down arrow. Select Change account type.
Click arrow to right of standard user and select Administrator

Restart and select the newly created account from the signin screen.
