Solved No wake up feature in the BIOS, can I still have it auto boot?

I bought an Asus Z790-P last August 2024. It doesn't have a wake up feature in the BIOS where I want to have it auto boot at 7am. I talked to their tech support last August and they said it didn't have that feature. Is there a way I can have it wake up and boot at 7am?

There are three possibilities that I can think of:

1) Your BIOS may not have an option to wake at a specific time, but does it have an option for how to handle loss of power? Some BIOS can be set to automatically power on when power is restored after a loss of power. If so, enable this feature. Connect your PC to a smart switch. At night, after you turn power off to your PC, turn off the smart switch and set a timer on it for 7:00 AM. If set correctly, it should then power on.

2) Use Wake On LAN. Some routers have this capability built-in so that might be a possibility.

3) Finally, if your system has the ability to wake using a Wake Timer, you could create a task in Task Scheduler to wake the system at 7:00 AM.

I hope that at least one of those will work for you!

Update:

I just downloaded the BIOS manual for your MB. It CAN wake at a set time. Take a look at the screenshot below. Not only can it wake by RTC (Real Time Clock), it has the Restore AC Power Loss feature that I discussed as well as Wake On LAN (Power On by PCI-e). So, whoever told you that your MB cannot do this would appear to be wrong. It's either that or the BIOS manual is lying to us .

When you enable Power On By RTC there will be options to set days/hour/minute/second.
Set days to zero and it will happen everyday.

Thank you, you are so right and the tech support people and the guy I bought the computer were so wrong. You do have to scroll down to see the APM config. I configured it and it looks perfect. My life will be easier now because of your excellent help
