I've used the current stable version of NVIDIA Broadcast (v 1.4.0.29) without any issues for some time now. My recent upgrade (from 23H2 to 24H2) somehow changed that. It "magically" starts all by itself when the app's AUTO-LAUNCH settings "Launch when Windows starts" is toggled to the OFF position. Thinking there was a possible disconnect during the upgrade to 24H2, I uninstalled the app and checked for a new version before I reinstalled it. Same issue.
I really only notice Broadcast started by itself when my audio disappears and I see the app running in Control Panel's Sound applet configuration dialog box. Quitting the Broadcast app and toggling between Dolby Atmos and Stereo configurations usually restores audio, but once in a while it doesn't, causing me to do a quick 45-second system reboot before audio returns to normal.
All the other software I use (I've used some apps since early Windows 10) seems to be working just fine - just the mysterious weird glitch with Broadcast. Maybe one of the other apps is causing this issue? I saw in a Reddit post some time ago that there was a similar issue until an updated release of Broadcast became available.
I'm liking the new 24H2 so far and I'm still stumbling across some of the less-than-obvious changes under the hood. I've read it's taking some enthusiasts who perform an upgrade over an hour or more to do so. My upgrade took only 40 minutes (not counting the Windows update afterwards), and 15 minutes to do a clean install on my son's Windows 11 Home laptop over Ethernet. I bought his Acer laptop in 2017 as a high school graduation gift, a core i7 Acer laptop that I upgraded from 8 GB to 16 GB DDR4 RAM, a 125 GB generic M.2 to a 512 GB WD Black NVMe M.2, and a 512 GB 5400 RPM SATA-3 HDD to a Crucial MX 1TB 3D NAND SATA-3 SSD for less than $235!
A current, unedited zipped System Info (.nfo) file is attached for review if someone who knows more than I do wants to take a gander at it. I also updated my system specs this morning to reflect my new NAS drive and upgrade to 24H2.
Thoughts or suggestions on the NVIDIA Broadcast issue? (I really don't want to do a clean install because a couple of my more expensive apps keep track on how many times and how frequently I register a new install.)
Thanx!

- Semi-retired 2nd Intel build from 2017. Stripped down from it's glory days, it will be repurposed into some kind of server that only needs limited resources for a home network.
