So on the front USB C port of my computer I have a small USB C USB hub that has a few usb ports and what not. I have an Xbox Elite Series 2 Charging Dock plugged into it that I rest the controller on. Once in blue moon I’d say every 20 to 30 shutdowns of my computer because I shut it off every night the charging light of the controller while it’s resting on the dock (which is plugged into usb c hub) remains lit even after the computer is completely shut down. Every other shut down the charging light on the controller does not remain lit besides that once in a blue moon one. So somehow the usb c hub is drawing power to the dock. Any ideas? Thank you. Fast startup is disabled and everything seems off my pc works fine.

If the computer is hibernating and not shut down, perhaps that is when?

My quite old motherboard, alows plugged in devices to charge after shutdown.

Could I please note: I am surprised that you have not filled out your computer specs or version, You’re a VIP so I assume you know how but I will add the info on how anyway. It may help members help you.

Please type “Winver” into search on your PC and open it. Please type the version and build that it reports, into your “System Specs / OS” section (first on the list where you have placed “Windows 11”)

Like this for example: Windows 11 Pro 23H2 Build 22631.3296

This link will open your System Specs.

There was once a forum, where no one could post to the forum till they completed their personal data.
I'll never understand why so many folks are adverse to giving their location. Maybe ashamed?

Do you have something resembling this for the MB's configurations or in the BIOS ?

I can provide power to the wireless headphones and wireless mouse for charging during a shut down.

The one sure fire way to insure that your computer is really OFF (desktop PC's) is to plug it into a switchable power strip, * and after you shut down the PC for the day, flip the switch on the power strip to OFF. Then you have NO worries about what the PC is doing. Because, it will be doing NOTHING! Guaranteed!!!

* And, the better quality Power Strips will also have Power Surge Protection.
Add a UPS, between the power strip and the wall socket, for even greater protection against Power Failures, brownouts, and various surges, spikes, etc.
Here in the Lightning capital of the Western Hemisphere, multiple layers of surge protection are highly advisable.

Cheers mates!
