This option is only available if you have a tablet device with a touchscreen, no hardware keyboard attached, and have Show the touch keyboard when there's no keyboard attached turned on.
1 Tap where you want to enter text and the touch keyboard will open automatically.
This option is only available if you have a tablet device with a touchscreen, no hardware keyboard attached, and have When I tap a text field with my pen, use the handwriting panel or touch keyboard to input text set to When a physical keyboard isn't attached.
1 Tap with pen where you want to enter text and the handwriting panel or touch keyboard (last closed) will open automatically.
1 Click/tap on the Touch keyboard icon on the taskbar system tray. (see screenshot below)
1 Open Settings (Win+I).
2 Click/tap on Personalization on the left side, and click/tap on Text input on the right side. (see screenshot below)
3 Click/tap on Touch keyboard to expand it open. (see screenshot below)
4 Click/tap on the Open keyboard button.
5 You can now close Settings if you like.
