Paint Right Click Does Not Show Copy

To reproduce:

1. Open Paint
2. Draw something
3. Select a region
4. Right Click

Unless you are meticulously still, you will not see copy as an option.

I have learned that if you are super still it works as expected, but if you move even slightly it deselects (and probably moves the selection less than a pixel). It was very confusing until I figured it out. I would have to select a region and then go to edit->copy, and then it seemed to subsequently behave. Anyway, I thought Microsoft might watch this forum and appreciate the feedback, or maybe others have had the same problem.

My right click/ Copy in Paint works fine...




Maybe it's an issue with your TouchPad or maybe with a wireless mouse?




Might try this... run these commands, one at a time in an elevated Command Prompt...

sfc /scannow

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth


These two commands will fix most Windows problems if there are any.

I do not think it is an issue per say. It is just the way it is designed. I'm guessing that if there is micomovement in the mouse (wired mouse in my case), it triggers the "move" function which deselects the selection, but then only "moves" the image less than a pixel, so it is not obvious to the user that it is in move mode.

I use a $9 wired Logitech mouse (no drivers needed).
I can move it all over the place and the right click drop down and the selection... are unaffected.


Well... since it's close to Christmas, here. I recommend PSP 7.04...
