I've been using KvadPhoto Pro (and the later one Pro+2) for a few years - to create PIP (Picture in Picture) effects with photos for an annual calendar - also to add various Christmas effects etc. It doesn't seem to work any more. It opens but won't download any of the effects. It doesn't seem to be in the Microsoft Store any more either. It seems they have a new one that's only available on Google Play.

Anyone know of another app in the Microsoft store for adding similar effects to photos? I already have photo editors - this is just for effects.

Thanks - I already have it downloaded on my computer from when it was available (and it still downloads from my Library on Microsoft store) - it partially works but the bundled effects just hang and won't download - hard to explain - there are a lot of effects - PIP, overlays etc. Different sections - when you click on a section it shows downloading but hangs at 0% - I think maybe it's just not supported any more. So another download might be the same.

Anyone know any other photo apps that have things like overlays and PIP effects? Googling brought up something on a microsoft site, but I don't think it was a genuine site - it tried to download a .exe file and my av blocked it.

Well I've given up. Needed it finished before the 1st December so I've done it differently this year - downloaded a free trial of Photoshop (which previously I've found slow and complicated to use but for this particular job it was quite easy - just for adding backgrounds and effects).

Now contemplating taking out a subscription to photoshop.

I wonder if you could accomplish what you desire in Picasa.
Still a great program, you can find it on the web.

Thanks Edwin I'll check that out. It's done for this year though. I guess a change isn't always a bad thing. I might not need photoshop for another year though so taking out a subscription probably isn't needed.

I forgot to mention, Affinity Suite is still on sale, dirt cheap!
(That's £57.73, once!!!) ;-)

Cheers. I wondered about that but I'd already done the effects in Photoshop :-) And just got the hang of it. And got it for a year for £62.99 which seemed good. I know it needs renewing every year so I'll see how necessary it is next year. They were very good effects. No PIP option but maybe that's old hat anyway.
