Did not see a forum relating to power issues but here is mine. My Lenovo is always plugged in with a few exceptions - moving it to another room, unplugged, and then re-plugging when I get back to living room. It is now at 85% and falling - checked updates and all is current. Thanks for any help.

If it is orange when you have plugged it back in to mains power then I would have thought that just indicated it is charging normally. Flashing orange can indicate issues.

If you never use it on battery then it is possible the apparent charge level falls really quickly. You need to use it a few times on battery power to recalibrate things and then see if there is still an issue.

Power Light is Orange
And what does your user manual have to say about that light?
Mine says

Hello - I did a scan and the result was that the battery is fine (pass). It seems to have stopped falling at 84%. Gone back up to 85%. There were a couple of battery settings I changed back to original - from 2 days ago. I shouldn't mess with stuff. Anyway, orange light is solid - I think all is ok. I was not able to locate the manual - typed in manual in search - I'm sure it's there somewhere.

I will run it on battery as suggested. Thanks.

Thanks to all.

Lenovo support lets you download both the user manual & the maintenance manual in the same section that you go to for driver downloads.
It's worth getting the maintenance manual so you have an illustrated guide ready if you ever need to open the case & replace something like a drive or the main battery.

The Lenovo Vantage app, All settings, Conservation mode allows you to limit battery charging. Perhaps that is what you changed 2 days ago.

Your comments are all consistent with having used the charge-limiting ability and nothing you have posted indicates any problems.

Thanks Denis. I will download the manual. Glad to hear nothing problematic showing up. Do wonder why that power light is orange though. Ah well. If not a problem, I will ignore.
