Problem Using Hyper-V

I decided to give the release version of Win 11 24H2 a try. I debated if I should use Hyper-V or try making a Windows-to-Go USB drive. I decided to go with Hyper-V. When I try to use it to install Win 11 I get the error shown in the pic below. I can run Hyper-V to run Windows 10 so it does work. I do have VMware installed but don't use it so I can uninstall it if needed. I'm trying this on the latest Canary build.

I think I may have found out what I need to do although I don't know why what I did gave me the error. In Hyper-V, I selected Quick Create and got the error. I just started Hyper-V again and chose New instead of Quick Create. I went as far as New > Virtual Machine > Before You Begin > Specify Name And Location without any errors so I think it's going to work. I'm getting tired so I'll try Installing 24H2 Pro tomorrow. If successful I'll mark this thread solved.

I changed my mind and did a Win-To-Go USB inslall. I'm having problems with my display adapter that I hope gets fixed after Windows finishes its updates. If not I'll restart and log in to my Canary build and save my drivers to a flash drive. Once I get the drivers fixed I'll see if anything else is broken.

The Win-to-Go drive is working but when I want to log back into my computer normally, Windows goes into the repair boot mode because it can't boot. When I plug in the USB drive the Win-to-Go boots by default. When I shut it down I unplug the drive so the computer will boot from my C: drive. The first time it happened I gave it a few tries but had to use my Macrium boot disk to fix it. I just now finished using the Win-to-Go and had the same problem. Windows tried to do a boot repair but it failed twice. The problem did fix itself on the third restart so I didn't have to use Macrium to fix the boot partition. I'm not sure if I'm going to install 24H2 in Hyper-V like I was originally going to do or install it on my laptop. I do know that I'm done with booting Windows from a USB drive.

But just to quickly re-iterate to @Winuser
Just simple registry fix to set the "PortableOperatingSystem" to '0', and then you can clone the "WintoGo to an internal HDD or even swap the drives.

I've posted this a lot before so not sure what the problem is.

True, but it's a follow up to what I decided to do instead of using Hyper-V. I'm not asking for help. Just telling about what I went through by going another route.

I wasn't asking for help. I was just posting what I decided to do and the results that followed. More or less just letting of some steam. If your suggestion means that I would only have to add the boot entry into the start menu I think I'll give it a try. If it wasn't for the fact that the NVMe drive is a pain to remove I would have just clean installed to another internal drive. With that said, I'm done posting here unless I decide to go ahead and use Hyper-V.
