Query - W11 Ver 23H2 can I just upgrade to Beta version from Std

Hi there
I don't want to lose my perfectly functioning 23H2 system as it seems the only one where I have no network issues -- so can I just download the beta iso from UUPDUMP and run setup.exe to update the system. I don't need the hassle of installing from scratch. I'm currently using build w11 22631.3072 for 23H2 builds.

My current fully released version is 23H2 Build 22631.3762. As I recall from days in Win10 IP the Build numbers were larger as in 23000.xxxx, so my assumption would be the computer in question with Build 22631.3072 actually has the RTM/Released version therefore I wouldn't mix an IP with it. It was warned when I first got in the Insiders program not to use the preview/test/beta versions on the only computer or a production computer as there would be issues.

Jimbo, you're a very technical guy so I'm really surprised that you even ask that question!!!

OK, here's my professional suggestion . . . Download the new OS that you'd like to try and burn it to a Flash Drive, using Rufus to remove the MS BS. Then set up a new SSD on your system and install the new OS to it, as a "Clean Install" .
Never take a chance, corrupting an OS that's been working for you!

That's just a little tip from an old and retired Computer Tech.

Or, at least make a disk image backup, so you can wipe the drive(s) and return the machine to its exact state.

JFYI: The only safe way to protect your old OS, and years accumulation of data, is to unplug the drive and maybe even remove it from the PC before you install a new OS on a new HD/SSD installed on your computer.
Old Saying: Better safe than sorry!

I've done that so many times, I can't even count .....

Back when I built my first PC, ~1980, a 30 meg Seagate ST4038, full height, hard drive cost as much as $799.
That's right, I said "30 Megabytes"!!!
Today, you can get a nice little 120GB SSD, for as little as $35. They make great little boot disks.
I recommend "Crucial" as the best brand to buy. It's actually "Crucial/Micron".
